Evanston Hope International Airport

This was for Flagler's Branding Class

Design Challenge
The challenge for this project was to create a brand identity and brand applications for an airport. The elements that we had to create were brand boards with a logo, a printed design, a website de-sign, and various different signs for the airport. Some goals and objectives for this project was to create a brand that felt both safe and inviting. In relations to the client, they are someone that wants travel that is both safe and efficient while also providing top quality service. The target audience is international students, businesspeople that travel and travel lovers.

Design Solution
When creating the logo and brand board there was a desire to create a feeling of comfort and safety. The idea of safety was expressed through the wings on the logo around the initials of the airport. It symbolizes both a shield and the protection of the airport. In relation to the color, colors that were chosen were inspired by the calming and beautiful colors of a sunset. For the print element creating a safety kit seemed like the best way to go since safety is the top priority of the airport. Blue and pink were used to create a calming and harmonious feel for the design. Additionally, the logo de-sign element was used in the corner to add visual interest.  For the website I chose imagery that shows people taking precautions and following the safety protocols for the airport. For the envi-ronmental designs the main colors of blue, pink and gray were used for main colors and then the purple yellow and orange were used as supporting colors.
